VegasNow live blackjack: tables, bets and the bonus maths
Our live blackjack is dealt by Evolution, with seven-seat classic tables, Infinite Blackjack, Power Blackjack and Bet Behind for when every seat is taken. Below we walk through a hand, the side bets, the A$8 bonus cap, the 10% wagering rate and the loyalty points a session earns, all with worked numbers you can check yourself.
VegasNow live blackjack at a glance
Blackjack lives in the live casino section of our lobby, next to roulette and the game shows. Here is the short version of what applies at every table, with the source of each figure.

| Power Blackjack | An eight-deck shoe stripped of all nines and tens; picture cards stay in | Evolution |
| Side bets | Perfect Pairs and 21+3 at most tables; Infinite and Power Blackjack add Hot 3, Any Pair and Bust It | Evolution |
| Bonus wagering contribution | 10% | General bonus terms, 26 February 2024 |

Side-bet payouts and each table's stake range are not in that list on purpose. They are printed on the table when you open it, they vary from game to game, and the table's own version is the one that settles your bet.
From betting window to payout: one hand step by step
Each hand is your seat against the dealer. The people sitting beside you are not opponents, and their choices do not change how your hand is settled unless you have chosen to back their seat through Bet Behind.
1. Chips down
A timer starts. Place your main stake on your seat and, if you like, chips on the smaller side-bet spots next to it. When the timer hits zero the table closes to new bets.
2. The deal
Every seat gets two cards. One dealer card sits face up, the upcard, and it is the only clue you have about the house hand when you choose what to do.
3. Your decision
Draw again or keep the total you hold. Pass 21 and you are bust: the hand loses straight away, whatever the dealer does next. Where a table offers doubling or splitting, those options appear here too.
4. House hand and settlement
When all seats have finished, the dealer plays out the house hand by the rules shown on the table. The total nearer 21 wins. Side bets are paid or lost on their own terms, separately from the main hand.
The decision timer belongs to the studio, so decide while seconds remain rather than at the buzzer. A patchy connection can eat the final moment.
Blackjack tables in the VegasNow live lobby
Three Evolution formats cover most of what you will find, and they differ in more than name.
Standard seven-seat tables
Seven seats around one dealer. Once all seven are filled you can still join through Bet Behind. Most of these tables offer Perfect Pairs and 21+3.
Infinite Blackjack
Any number of players can join at once, so you never wait for someone to leave. Perfect Pairs and 21+3 are joined by Hot 3, Any Pair and Bust It.
Power Blackjack
Eight decks go into the shoe, then every nine and ten is pulled out while jacks, queens and kings remain. It carries the same five side bets as Infinite Blackjack.
Power Blackjack deserves extra care. Removing two whole ranks changes which totals two cards can make, so instincts from a classic table do not transfer cleanly. Read its rules panel first and treat it as a separate game that shares a name.
Deck counts also differ between variants; the table information confirms the number for each game. Our lobby lists named tables too, among them VIP Blackjack 9, Ruby Blackjack 72 and Emerald Blackjack 105, and each one shows its own limits and paytable when opened.
Main bet, Bet Behind and side bets at VegasNow
The main bet
Your stake on your own hand against the dealer's, and the only wager your draw or stand choice affects.
Bet Behind
A stake on a seat that someone else is playing. You make no choices; the seated player does, and your chips share their result, paid at whatever that hand earns. It gets you into a full seven-seat game, at the cost of trusting a stranger's judgement with your money.
Perfect Pairs and 21+3
Perfect Pairs is a bet that your opening two cards form a pair, graded in three steps: mixed, coloured or perfect. 21+3 takes your opening two cards plus the dealer's upcard and pays if those three make a poker hand.
Hot 3, Any Pair and Bust It
These extra spots sit on the Infinite and Power tables. Bust It backs the dealer to go over 21; the paytable on screen sets out the winning conditions for all three.
Each side bet is its own wager. A winning side bet will not rescue a losing main hand, and a losing one does not touch a winning main hand.
Staying inside the A$8 cap while a bonus is active
As long as a bonus sits on your account, the general bonus terms limit a single bet to A$8. Several chips can ride on one blackjack hand, so we recommend the cautious reading: add up the main bet, every side bet and any Bet Behind, and keep that total at A$8 or less.
| Chips on the hand | Total | Inside A$8? |
|---|---|---|
| A$4 main, A$2 Perfect Pairs, A$1 21+3 | A$7 | Yes, with A$1 to spare |
| A$6 main, A$1.50 Perfect Pairs, A$1 21+3 | A$8.50 | No, A$0.50 over |
| A$5 main, A$3 Bet Behind on another seat | A$8 | Yes, exactly at the limit |
| A$3 main, A$1 each on Perfect Pairs, 21+3, Hot 3 and Bust It | A$7 | Yes (Infinite or Power Blackjack) |
| A$5 main, then doubled | A$10 | No, the double adds another A$5 |
The final row catches people out. Doubling and splitting, where a table allows them, each add a second stake equal to the first. To keep room for a double, open at A$4 or less: an A$4 hand doubled reaches A$8, on the ceiling but not through it.
With no bonus running, the A$8 limit disappears and the table's own minimum and maximum apply.
The 10% rule: how VegasNow counts blackjack toward wagering
Contribution rates come from our general bonus terms (version of 26 February 2024): slots 100% apart from excluded titles, roulette 25%, blackjack and game shows 10% each, baccarat 0%. So every A$1 staked at a blackjack table moves a requirement by A$0.10. An A$8 hand records A$0.80 of progress; an A$5 hand records A$0.50. The rate applies to the stake, so a winning hand and a losing hand count the same.
A worked example with fresh numbers. You deposit A$140 at the first welcome stage. The 150% match adds A$210 of bonus, and 40 times that bonus is A$8,400 of qualifying wagering, due within seven days.
| Game type | Contribution | Stakes to clear A$8,400 | Hands or spins at A$8 | Daily pace across the week |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eligible pokies | 100% | A$8,400 | 1,050 | 150 |
| Roulette | 25% | A$33,600 | 4,200 | 600 |
| Live blackjack | 10% | A$84,000 | 10,500 | 1,500 |
| Baccarat | 0% | Never clears | Not applicable | Not applicable |
At A$5 a hand the blackjack row grows to 16,800 hands. The table assumes every bet is at the stake shown; smaller stakes always mean more hands.
Other conditions travel with the bonus. Bonuses run one at a time, so the second stage (100% up to A$2,000, code VEGAS2) waits until the first is cleared, expires or is declined. The most you can cash out from a deposit bonus is A$5,000 per offer. And apart from any bonus, our account terms require three times the deposit in play before funds linked to it can be withdrawn: here, A$420 of stakes on the A$140 deposit, with refusal or a processing fee as the published result of an early request.
Why VegasNow bonuses clear slowly at a live table
Two things hold it back. First, the rate. At 10% a requirement needs ten times the stakes it would on an eligible pokie, and skilful play cannot change that, because progress is measured on money staked rather than money won. Good decisions look after your balance; they leave the requirement exactly as long.
Second, pace. A live hand waits for the timer, the deal and every seat, while the bonus counts down its seven days regardless. Fifteen hundred hands a day at the top stake is more than most people play in a week, and no long-run average can promise that an A$350 balance of deposit plus bonus will survive A$84,000 of stakes.
- Decline the bonus if blackjack is your main game. Our general terms allow it. You give up the match, and with it the 40x requirement, the A$8 cap and the seven-day clock. The three-times deposit rule still applies before a withdrawal.
- Share the load. Clear most of the requirement on eligible pokies at 100% and keep blackjack light. For instance, 300 hands at A$5 is A$1,500 of blackjack stakes and A$150 of progress, leaving A$8,250 to come from pokie stakes.
- Keep blackjack for unbonused sessions. Once the bonus is finished or declined, the table's limits replace the A$8 cap.
Crazy Time and the other game shows also sit at 10%, so switching to a game show does not help. Roulette, at 25%, falls in between.
VegasNow loyalty points from blackjack
Every real-money bet feeds our loyalty programme and its seven Las Vegas-themed levels. Published earning rates: slots give one redeemable and one status point for every A$25, roulette one point per A$100, and blackjack and baccarat one point per A$250. At the blackjack table, each A$250 of stakes adds a single point.
| Example | Blackjack stakes | Points | What the points do |
|---|---|---|---|
| An evening of 200 hands at A$5 | A$1,000 | 4 | A small step toward a first exchange |
| Clearing the A$8,400 example above | A$84,000 | 336 | One 200-point exchange for A$5, with 136 points left |
| Reaching Golden Glimmer II (600 status points) | A$150,000 | 600 | Moves you up one sub-tier |
| Building 750 points (A$20 once you hold Parisian Palace Las Vegas) | A$187,500 | 750 | An A$20 bonus at that level's rate |
The earning rates mirror the contribution table. Clearing A$8,400 takes A$8,400 on pokies, A$33,600 on roulette or A$84,000 at blackjack, and each route earns the same 336 points. The reward per unit of progress never changes; the amount you must stake does.
Bonuses taken from the Loyalty Store carry 40x wagering. The A$20 exchange means A$800 of requirement: A$8,000 of blackjack stakes, or A$800 on an eligible pokie. The full ladder and how Sin City VIP Lounge selection works are on our loyalty and VIP page.
Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback and other VegasNow promotions
One of the nine recurring offers on our promotions page is built for this game: Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback. Its percentage, cap, qualifying period and wagering are set out on the card inside your account, not on the public page, so we quote no figures for it. Read that card before you play; its wording is the contract.
The rest of the week brings Grand Mondays, Lucky 7s Load Up on Tuesdays, 3-of-a-kind Thursdays, Friday Night Spotlight and Sunday Split, with Monthly Bankroll Booster, Free Spins Flush and 7-Deadly Spins alongside. Only two show headline terms in public. Lucky 7s Load Up is 77% of a Tuesday deposit, capped at A$77, and can be claimed again; Friday Night Spotlight adds 40 free spins for each qualifying deposit made on a Friday, on whichever game is featured that week.
Bonus funds from any offer follow the general bonus terms unless its card says otherwise. Two examples at the blackjack rate, assuming the default 40x:
- A Tuesday deposit of A$60 under Lucky 7s Load Up earns a 77% match of A$46.20. At 40x that is A$1,848 of requirement: A$18,480 of blackjack stakes, against A$1,848 on an eligible pokie.
- Suppose a cashback card credits A$12 as bonus funds. That is A$480 of requirement, or A$4,800 at the table: 600 hands at A$8.
Remember that bonuses run one at a time, so a Tuesday reload has to wait if a welcome stage is open. Our weekly promotions page lays out the calendar.
Live blackjack on your phone
Our blackjack tables run in your mobile browser. Neither Apple's App Store nor Google Play carries a VegasNow app and we supply no APK, so an installer offered under our name elsewhere is not ours. For an app-style icon:
- iPhone or iPad: in Safari, tap the Share icon, pick Add to Home Screen, keep the Open as Web App toggle on for a full-screen view, and confirm with Add.
- Android: open Chrome's three-dot menu, pick the install or shortcut option and confirm (older versions call it Add to Home screen).
Our mobile page has both routes in more detail. Because the studio sets the timer, play on stable Wi-Fi or strong signal, act early in each window, and set your deposit limit before the first hand.
If the stream freezes mid-hand, check your game history before repeating the bet; a frozen picture does not prove the bet failed. Note the table, the time and any round reference, then contact support so the account record can be checked.
Common live blackjack mistakes on VegasNow tables
- Expecting full wagering credit. Blackjack contributes 10%, so the A$8,400 example needs A$84,000 at the table.
- Counting only the main bet against the cap. With a bonus open, add side bets and any Bet Behind. A$6 on the hand plus A$2.50 of side bets is already past A$8.
- Doubling an A$5 hand during a bonus. The double makes it A$10. Open at A$4 or below to keep that option.
- Playing Power Blackjack like the classic game. With nines and tens gone from the shoe, familiar totals behave differently.
- Forgetting who decides on Bet Behind. The seated player does, every hand.
- Hoping a side bet will save the hand. Side bets settle alone, and a lost one is simply gone.
- Clearing a bonus on baccarat. Its 0% rate means not one dollar staked there moves the requirement.
- Raising the stake after a losing run. Losses do not make a win due, and a bigger bet only enlarges the next loss.
- Asking to withdraw straight after depositing. Our account terms want each deposit played through three times before that.
Playing within limits
Just Entertainment B.V. runs VegasNow. The company is registered in Curaçao (number 160603) and holds licence OGL/2024/164/0246 from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, which anyone can look up on the public licence validator. Our tables are open to adults aged 18 and over only.
Live blackjack has a rhythm that can make an hour feel like ten minutes. Settle your budget and a finishing time before the first hand, put a deposit limit on the account, and leave when the plan says so rather than when the cards turn. Self-exclusion sits in the account too, and our responsible gambling page explains each tool.
For support, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop is the national register for self-excluding from Australian-licensed wagering providers, so for your VegasNow account, use the self-exclusion option inside the account as well.
VegasNow live blackjack: questions and answers
Which live blackjack tables can I play at VegasNow?
Evolution's classic tables with seven seats, Infinite Blackjack with room for any number of players, and Power Blackjack, whose eight-deck shoe has had its nines and tens taken out. Named tables in the lobby show their own limits when opened.
What can I do if every seat at a table is taken?
Use Bet Behind: back a seated player's hand, let them make the decisions, and share their result. Infinite Blackjack is the other answer, since it has no player limit.
Are side bets part of the A$8 bonus limit?
The general terms cap each bet at A$8 while a bonus is open, and we suggest counting everything on the hand. An A$5.50 main bet plus A$1.50 each on 21+3 and Perfect Pairs comes to A$8.50, which is over.
How much does live blackjack contribute toward a VegasNow bonus?
10%. Each A$1 staked adds A$0.10, so an A$8 hand adds A$0.80. An A$8,400 requirement needs A$84,000 of blackjack stakes, compared with A$8,400 on an eligible pokie.
Does the welcome bonus work at live blackjack?
Yes. The welcome package covers the casino and the live casino. While it is open, the 10% blackjack rate, the A$8 bet limit and the seven-day expiry all apply, and you can decline the bonus if you would rather play without them.
What does a blackjack session earn in loyalty points?
One point for each A$250 staked. A$5,000 of blackjack play earns 20 points. The first Loyalty Store exchange is 200 points for an A$5 bonus at Golden Glimmer, and exchanged bonuses carry 40x wagering.
Is Power Blackjack the same as regular blackjack?
No. It uses eight decks with all nines and tens pulled out and the picture cards left in, which changes the totals two cards can make. It also adds Hot 3, Any Pair and Bust It to Perfect Pairs and 21+3.
Is there a VegasNow blackjack app?
No native app and no APK. The tables run in the mobile browser, and you can pin VegasNow to your Home Screen through Safari or Chrome for an app-style shortcut.
